Stand-Up Pouches
A folded base, so the pack stands on a shelf on its own.

A stand-up pouch has a folded base that opens out when the pack is filled, so it stands on a shelf without a tray or a box behind it. That is the whole reason the format exists: it gives a small brand shelf presence at a fraction of what rigid packaging costs to make and to ship.
What we stock and print. Eight formats sit in this category, built from PET, MET-PET and PE laminates between 120 and 140 micron. The clear-front versions show the product; the metallised and matte black versions block light completely, which matters for anything that oxidises or fades. Finishes are gloss or matte, and printing runs up to eight colours.
Barrier. This is the specification to get right, and it is the one most buyers skip. Plain PET/PE gives a high barrier that suits dry snacks and pulses. Metallised MET-PET gives a very high barrier and full light block — the correct choice for coffee, ground spices, milk powder and anything with fat in it that will sit on a shelf for months. Asking for a clear window on a product that needs light protection is the most common mistake we talk customers out of.
Closure. Every stand-up pouch here can take a press-to-close zip, and most buyers should specify one. A resealable pack is the difference between a single-use portion and something a household keeps in the cupboard. Tear notches are standard so the zip is not damaged on first opening.
Ordering. Unprinted ready stock starts at 100 pieces and ships in about three working days, which is what makes this format practical for a brand testing a product before committing to artwork. Printed runs start at 1,000 pieces with a lead time of around 21 working days, because the cylinders have to be made before the first metre of film is printed. If you are unsure of your volume, start on ready stock with a printed label and move to printed film once the SKU proves itself.
What people pack in these. Dry fruits, namkeen, sweets, granola, pulses, coffee, tea, supplements, cosmetics, pet treats and confectionery. If your product is dry, needs to be seen or protected, and has to stand up on a shelf, this is the default format to start from.
Send us the weight and the shelf life you need and we will tell you which of the eight is right, rather than selling you the most expensive one.
