What it is for
Fresh-roasted coffee gives off carbon dioxide for days, and a sealed bag without a valve will swell and split. The valve vents it one way. Built on a side gusset bag with a film that keeps air and light out, because the whole point is a pack that can be sealed on the day it is roasted.
